Bin litter for Tidy Towns

Listowel, in County Kerry, has won this year’s award for being Ireland’s tidiest town in the 2018 SuperValu Tidy Towns competition.

Other winners include Westport in County Mayo, winner in the tidiest large town category, Glaslough in County Monaghan for the tidiest village in Ireland and the tidiest large urban centre being Ballincollig, County Cork.

Bin It! is an engaging and informative live performance which encourages student audiences of 12-13 year olds to think about their own littering behaviours and helps Irish schools with their Green-Schools education programme. Green-Schools is a student-led programme with involvement from the wider community, supported by local authorities, government departments, national parks and wildlife service, Irish Water and Mars Wrigley Confectionery.

The 2018 Bin It! Irish schools roadshow is underway, visiting a minimum of two schools a day.
