Bin It! the highly successful anti-littering theatre-in-education roadshow, is back for
the Summer term 2019. Now in its 13th year the show, aimed at 11-13 year old students,
helps persuade audiences that litter is highly damaging to our environment and to recycle more.
The tour starts in Scotland on Tuesday 7 May and is there for three weeks playing at schools in Aberdeenshire, Edinburgh and Glasgow. After half term, the team moves to Cumbria, then through to schools in Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham. The final week of this eight week 2019 tour visits schools in Sussex.
Any teachers interested in having the Bin It! performance at their school should call the Bin It! team on 020 8973 0040 or email a request to firstname.lastname@example.org
The UK Bin It! roadshow 2018 proved to be popular with both students and teachers. Post event research reveals that the performance is successful in managing to entertain, engage and inform students about the issues surrounding littering gum and how best to tackle them.
The roadshow continues to be needed by schools. A large number cite their reason for booking Bin It! is that it contributes to their eco programmes, raises awareness of littering issues in school as well as locally and helps change behaviour.
Mars Wrigley Confectionery sponsors the UK school theatre-in-education tours as part of the company’s long-standing commitment to tackling litter issues.
